I can't believe Christmas is already over, and the New Year is right around the clock! This project caught my eye, because it reminds me of a cleansing ritual me and some of my girlfriends do before New Year's Eve. Basically every year, each one of us writes down all the negative things that have happened throughout the year on small pieces of paper, and burn them! Sounds silly? It's not actually, it's quite a relief, and gives you a sense of putting all that %*@#$ behind you. This installation called Bourrasque by London-based designer Paul Cocksedge, with over 200 sheets stretching for 80ft in length, visually describes the small pieces of paper disappearing with all the negative junk of the year, making room for better times.

Great installation and what a beautiful light it makes :) I like the symbolic way of burning all the negative things - making it even more easy to look forward, I think. Happy New Year to you, too! ;)
