Starring Helvetica

Photographer and graphic designer Viktor Hertz designed these movie posters and replaced the Hollywood stars with the basic Helvetica man or simple icons. He used famous scenes from each of these movies, like the falling chair in Inception or the shower scene in Psycho. It's an interesting exercise of how much you can simplify something and still communicate the same message. It makes me wonder if everything was simplified this way, imagine having a guideline of some sort that all brands have to implement... just a thought!

  1. These are cool. One of my friends (An AD at our agency) has been doing a series of minimalist movie posters too, his are more graphic but very cool. http://brickhut.wordpress.com/

  3. Now what we need are Helvetica animated short films to go with the posters.
