Event | Bras for a Cause ME Fashion Show

It's happening tonight at the Monarch, Dubai. The show will include a fabulous fashion show displaying 25 prestigious designers including KAGE, Bow by Amanda, Poca & Poca, Neon Edge, Razan Alazzouni, Le Grana and many more in support of 5 Breast Cancer Organizations across the region. A little about Bras for a Cause Campaign:

For many breast cancer survivors, wearing the right bra and prostheses can improve the healing process emotionally and physically. The lingerie market here offer little variety from survivors. Bras for a Cause is the first bra design campaign in the Middle East to change that. One Wig Stand and Fustany.com are partnering together with the aim of bridging the gap between Middle Eastern fashion designers and breast cancer survivors.

Event | Basketball for boobies' sake!

Shooting for Awareness is an initiative organized by a group of women basketball players in the UAE, to support Breast Cancer Awareness month. It's happening this Friday October  21st at the American University in Dubai, UAE. Check out the Facebook event page for more details. 100% of proceeds will go to the Safe & Sound program.

Say it with a Rose

Worood is one of my favorite flower boutiques in Dubai, and they have come up with a great initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness month. They want you to help share inspirational messages of support for the cause in the UAE. All you need to do is go onto their Facebook page and submit a short message, Worood will attach each message to a Pink Rose and deliver them to hundreds of women across the country. For my readers in Dubai, Abudabi, and Sharjah, do this wonderful gesture for the women in your community.

Dinz goes PINK

This October, for Breast Cancer Awareness, Dinz has created a cute fund raising bracelet, made of pearl beads along with the pink ribbon charm, available in two colors. Each sold for AED 100, all the funds are donated to Emirates Medical Association. I picked up one myself last night at N'Style, they're also available at Tigerlily in Wafi, Art Space in DIFC, Soiree on Al Wasl Rd and Hairdreams Salon in Rotana Towers. Cure with Couture

Cashmere Toilet Paper does it again! After the success of previous years, fashion designers get together again to put together the White Cashmere Collection 2010 created by cashmere tissue paper. And for every vote $1.00 will be contributed to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation on your behalf. "It's Fashion with Compassion"

Cartoonists Care

Comic strips will turn pink, in the Sunday funnies as of October 10, 2010. King Features Syndicate Inc. said 50 cartoonists will participate in this initiative, each strip will feature a pink ribbon with the tag line "Cartoonists Care". The strips will be published on newspapers nationwide and online on www.comicsgopink.com where donations can be made to breast cancer organizations.
