Man of Mud

Alejandro Maestre Gasteazi, a photography graduate from the Universidad Politecnica de Cataluna, Barcelona, trains and researches new digital post production techniques. He's the founder of CitizenPixel, a company that specializes in production of advertising images. The 31-year old recently worked on an incredible photographic series to describe the struggle of an artist, Julian Canovas. The interesting thing about this project is the illusion he's created with floating mud, creating sculptures in thin air.

Gasteazi had Julian cover himself with blue paint mixed with mud, and photographed him during the process. That way Gasteazi was able to cut around the body and isolate the mud on photoshop and make it appear like a floating sculpture.

  6. Beautiful photos, but they are very eerie! Like something from the film Hollow Man.
