Two nights ago I stopped by somewhere pretty cool. Sorry gentlemen, THIS IS FOR THE LADIES :)! I finally visited Belle Femme beauty boutique at Jumeirah Beach Residence for a product launch (more on that later). It's a Dubai-based beauty lounge and spa; there's one in Jumeira, the L'Oreal expert salon, and the one at JBR, the Kerastase flagship store of the UAE.
Let's talk about the interior a little bit, it's super stylish, and decked out in Philippe Starck furniture. He's renowned for his unconventional, yet modern designs, blending fashionable aesthetics with functionality, and you see that as you as you walk in the salon.

The woman behind this beauty empire is Iraqi born and Dubai-based Bodour Al Hilali. Opening her own salon or spa was something she desperately wanted to do back in high school, now 10 years later Al Hilali has one of the most loved beauty boutiques in Dubai. She recently won the first annual and prestigious "Best of Dubai" award for her accomplishment. When asked where she sees herself in 5 years, she said she plans to expand Belle Femme into a full service medical spa eventually and most of all wants to encourage young women to become young entrepreneurs.
Moving on to the product launch I was attending last night... Belle Femme hosted an exclusive cocktail party for their devotees, the press and other VIP guests, to introduce the latest and belle of the ball hair product from Kerastase - "Elixir Ultime"- a subtle blend of some of the most sought after and rare oils, including Argan oil, Amazonian Pracaxi oil, and Camelia oil, AKA "lipgloss for your hair" really! Rarity and expense do not go hand in hand, with it retailing at just 175AED. Kerastase experts were there demonstrating the product, and giving consultation to all the lady guests. To celebrate the launch, Belle Femme hosted a raffle, with generous prizes including, vouchers for treatments, Kerastase products, an Hermes scarf, wallet and many more.
