What's in between

This is extraordinary! Continuing where we left of last time, I posted some work of artists using new techniques in painting. Check out what David Spriggs and Xia Xiaowan use as their canvas. By painting on multiple layers of clear glass, they merge them together to form 3D sculptures creating a holograpm-effect. The viewer is treated to shifting perspectives of the work depending on where he's standing. Spriggs work revolves around explosive imagery, while Xiaowan's work mostly features distorted figures. Xiaowan often uses colored pencils along with paint.
