"The Giacometti variations" are original installations created by American conceptual artist John Baldessari. Influenced by Swiss sculptor, Alberto Giacometti, Baldessari's sculptures of over-sized female figures are made out of resin and steel and then sprayed with bronze. Some are clothed with peculiar garments also designed by Baldessari himself, integrating the ideas of art and fashion on a dramatic, larger than life scale. The nine installations have been created to be featured at the Prada Foundation in Milan, Italy.
