Dior Couture by Patrick Demarchelier

The meeting between a great photographer and a mythical couture house, "Dior Couture Patrick Demarchelier" presents a fabulous retrospective of the Dior Haute Couture collections in 120 photographs, from the first show in 1947 to today!

Patrick Demarchelier has always admired Dior, and sees it as the birthplace of "unique pieces that are veritable sculptures" the book is his way of paying tribute to the outstanding splendor and expertise of Dior creations. By just looking at the few photographs here, you realize how beautiful and theatrical each one is and stands as a piece on its own, not just the couture but the photograph as a whole.

From Shanghai to Times Square, the grand staircase of Paris Opera House to the garden of the Musee Rodin, places that the House of Dior treasures, Demarchelier captures all that is quintessentially Dior, personified by the most beautiful women in the world, from Charlize Theron to Gisele Bundchen.

The book is now available for purchase in Europe and recently became available in the USA. I can't wait till it lands in our bookstores in Dubai! Definitely getting my self a copy, a fantastic archive to have! On the other hand, Amazon's got some in stock!
