Up for real

National Geographic just revealed these incredible photos of the real-life version of Pixar's animated hit film "Up", after wrapping up for the channel's series called "How Hard Can it Be?", premiering in fall 2011. It's amazing what we can achieve with a little inspiration.

On March 5 at dawn on a private airfield east of Los Angeles, National Geographic Channel and a team of engineers, scientists and two world-class balloon pilots successfully launched a 5m by 5m and 6m tall house (approximately) with the use of 300 colored weather balloons, and set a new world record for the largest balloon cluster flight ever; the experimental aircraft flew for about an hour more than 10 stories high, reaching an altitude of over 3,000m.
