Nana's got the blues

Frederika, a 91-year-old Hungarian grandma who is also a WWII survivor, was feeling depressed and very lonely. Sacha Goldberger suggested to shoot a series of photographs of her posing as a superhero in an attempt to cheer her up. Goldberger called the project "Superhero grandma Therapy". Once they got started Frederika couldn't stop smiling. That's human kindness right there! During WWII, Frederika was a superhero; she courageously saved the lives of ten people she knew by moving them around to safer places. She eventually moved to France, leaving her homeland to escape facing execution.
