The Red Dress

This giant red dress designed by Aamu Song, is an interactive installation that is worn by one performer, who climbs a concealed staircase to fit into the body. The REDDRESS is made with over 550 meters of fabric, 20 meters in diameter and stands 3 meters high. The dress is designed in a way that the spectators can sit within 238 pockets of the dress around the performer. The idea behind this was to allow the audience to be fully engaged and feel part of the performance. The installation was displayed at the York Hall for the London Design Festival by the Finish Institute in London, and entertained viewers from the 22nd to the 25th of September. If you happen to have seen it yourself, share your thoughts :)
